Desktop Application Privacy
Prompter Hawk is designed with privacy at its core. The desktop application:
- No surveillance or tracking - We don't monitor what you build, what code you write, or how you use the app
- Code stays on your machine - Your source code never passes through our servers. The only external connections are to your chosen AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) for model access
- Login servers only - Prompter Hawk only contacts our servers for account authentication and license validation
- BYO API keys - We never see your AI provider credentials. You connect directly to your providers
- Opt-in analytics only - If we add any usage analytics in the future, they will be clearly opt-in, not opt-out
What We Collect
When you create an account or use Prompter Hawk, we collect:
- Email address - For account authentication and product updates
- Display name (optional) - To personalize your experience
- Technical metadata - IP address and browser user agent (automatically collected by our server for security and session management)
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Authenticate your account and provide access to Prompter Hawk
- Send important product updates and service notifications
- Improve the product based on usage patterns
We will never:
- Sell your email to third parties
- Send you marketing emails unrelated to Prompter Hawk

Data Storage
Your account data is stored in a Vercel Postgres database. Vercel is a reputable cloud platform with industry-standard security practices. Only the Prompter Hawk team has access to this data.
Website Analytics
We track basic website usage to understand how visitors interact with our site:

- No personal information: We don't track your name, email, or any personally identifiable information through analytics
